ARTiculations Studio Programming Update:

COVID-19 Update

With much regret we are postponing all classes, workshops and demos until Sunday, April 19th. We will reach out to all registered participants to determine if they are able to attend at a later date, or if they would like a refund. In the meantime we will be investigating virtual ways to assist you with your creative material and technique exploration. Stay tuned. Stay well. Make Art Every Day!

With a focus on landscapes, you will discover why this versatile medium has been the choice of many studio and plein-air painters. Learn about various techniques, applications, surfaces, and tools needed to begin experimenting and painting with soft pastels. Follow along with simple demos or bring your own landscape reference photos to explore.

Artist Instructor: Monique Medeiros

Monique Medeiros is a visual artist working and living in Toronto. She graduated from OCAD University with a Bachelors of Fine Art and has been working in a variety of mediums including acrylic, watercolour, and pastels. Her inspiration is derived from her love of travel. After spending 2 and a half months backpacking through Europe and Iceland, she moved to Calgary to explore the natural beauty of the Rocky Mountains. It is these experiences that have shaped and fuelled her passion for landscape paintings. In addition to exhibiting in group shows over the last 10 years, Monique is also a vendor at the Arts Market selling her framed original pastel paintings, prints and cards.
