Paper + Ink Exploration covers the many kinds and possibilities of paper!

Using books, magazines and wildly colourful Japanese papers, we will be exploring collage techniques to create our own paper landscapes. Taking our new collage skills, we will then create a paper plant garden of paper plants we cut out, glue together and plant into a ceramic planter to take home and enjoy!

Following our explorations of paper is our ink intensive. Learn how to offset marbled designs onto paper, using different tools to create marbled designs that transform plain paper into beautiful sheets. Watercolour is our next ink exploration as we look at types of watercolour painting, using ink resists and creating special effects in watercolours.

Artist Instructor: Natalie Draz

Our full day program schedule consists of daily sketching exercises, 2hr morning and afternoon studio sessions, and various outdoor activities.  We believe an important part of the artistic process is having a good mental and physical balance.  Each day we will be going outside (weather permitting) to experience our neighbourhood and how it can inspire creativity!   Our camp takes place in our ARTiculations Studio.

What to bring:
