The {mini} Typographical Print: A Letterpress Workshop

Join Pam Lobb from Graven Feather to learn the basics of hand setting type. Using a small 3×5 Kelsey letterpress and hand printing stations you’ll be able to experiment with 1-6 word messages. Printing with oil based inks participants will be provided a variety of thick cotton rag papers, thin Japanese papers and blank coasters to customize with their short and sweet messages.

 

 

 

 


Pam Lobb

After graduating from the University of Guelph in 2007, Pam Lobb spent five years as a studio assistant with printmaker, Tammy Ratcliff. In 2011, she co-founded Graven Feather Studio where is the owner and director. As a printmaker and letterpress instructor, Pam has exhibited nationally, won several awards including Best Artwork on Paper from the Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition and attended residencies with Sparkbox in Picton, ON and the Vermont Studio Center in Johnson, VA. She is continuously exploring the intersection of printmaking and fibre arts.

Program Registration
All ARTiculations workshops require advance registration, unless otherwise noted. Admission to Artist Talks is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
In the event of a workshop cancellation, registrants will be notified prior to the workshop start date and a full refund will be given. Participant cancellations are not refundable within two business days of the workshop date.

Youth Registration: We require the ARTiculations Youth Registration Package to be completed for your child prior to participating in our programming. Once completed, this package is kept on file for the academic year.
