FREE LECTURE: Painting for Posterity

Hosted by our friends, The Academy of Realist Art
2968 Dundas St West

This lecture is all about constructing a painting from the support to the ground and final layers, including discussing how the “fat-over-lean” rule in oil painting is inherently flawed. Practical procedures are described to build your oil paintings according to the studies on the conservation of paintings. The presentation will be followed by questions and answers. This presentation is designed for painters of all mediums, but has special application to oil painting.
