ARTiculations has partnered with our favourite triple threat gallery, studio and shop Magic Pony to help aspiring artists learn basic silkscreening techniques. This workshop focuses on both paper and textile printing, allowing participants to eventually achieve great looking prints at home, without access to professional studio equipment.  Throughout the course we will also cover ink mixing and blending techniques, product information, and simple registration techniques for two color prints. Projects may include printing postcards, t-shirts and tote bags. ALL MATERIALS INCLUDED

Artist Instructor: Jamiyla Lowe

Jamiyla Lowe has worked for Toronto based clothing company Black Market printing t-shirts professionally for six years. She is experienced in paper printing through her time spent at Ontario College of Art and Design and Pop Fuel Studios in Parkdale. Lowe currently prints out of a home based studio primarily focusing on personal work. Lowe’s original prints are available at Magic Pony in Toronto, and Monasteraki in Montreal.
