Acrylic Painting Workshop – How to manipulate realism to abstraction
Thursday April 26th 2018
6:30 pm to 10:00 pm
Price: $ 55.00 CAD
How does one create an abstract painting? Walk through the steps from a known reality to its abstraction, using the seven principals of design to help guide you. Working from real still life and photo references. In this innovative, acrylic painting workshop we will investigate & create several abstract works based on transforming a real still life or photograph into an abstract version of it. We will learn about different sizes and shapes of surfaces as well as how to hone our compositional skills stretching and shrinking aspects of our original image. The studies and finished works will be abstracted views of something tangible and real. This challenging Workshop is suitable for an open-minded beginner or an advanced student.
What students need to bring– one object to add to a still life set up
we supply cartridge paper, pencil crayons, markers, acrylic paint.
