Oh My Gouache! Beginner Gouache Painting (4wk) with Megan Bray

PART 1: Thursdays, September 19 - October 10, 2024 |
6:30-9:30pm

Using traditional gouache, and with a focus on creating and maintaining a sketchbook practice, we will explore colour mixing, layering, blending, glazing, and all the possibilities gouache offers!

PART 2: Thursdays, November 7 - 28, 2024 | 6:30-9:30pm

This round we will be getting more comfortable with our paints, gaining confidence through experiments and play, as well as new subject matter to tackle together.

What is Gouache anyway?!

Gouache (rhymes with squash, say it like gwaash!) is an opaque watercolour paint with a very matte finish. Traditional gouache is always re-wettable, whereas acrylic gouache is permanent once dry.
