Using traditional gouache, and with a focus on creating and maintaining a sketchbook practice, we will explore colour mixing, layering, blending, glazing, and all the possibilities gouache offers!

What is Gouache anyway?!

Gouache (rhymes with squash, say it like gwaash!) is an opaque watercolour paint with a very matte finish. Traditional gouache is always re-wettable, whereas acrylic gouache is permanent once dry.

• Graphite pencil - 2H
• Erasers - kneaded and white plastic/vinyl
  
• Mixed Media / Watercolour Sketchbook - Megan likes Etchr
  
• Holbein Artists' Gouache Primary Mixing Set
• Palette or Plate for mixing
• Brushes

Materials ARTiculations will Provide

• Paper Towel
• Water containers
