These 100% kozo cards are designed for ink-based processes such as printmaking but can also be used for collage, painting and more. Each size (Etchu Meishi, Tanzaku HM, Hagaki, and Etchu Card) is a different weight, see below for details.

2.25" x 3.75" (300g) Etchu Meishi
Traditionally used in Japan for hand-lettered business cards this small thick card works well for most techniques from relief printing to painting and collage. An ideal size for the lightweight traveller.

2.25" x 14" (265g) Tanzaku HM
Handmade in Toyama prefecture (historically called Etchu) these long, narrow cards were traditionally used for brush calligraphy and writing poetry. 

3.8" x 5.8" (240g) Hagaki
The name of this delightful handmade card, Hagaki means "postcard" in Japanese. It is wonderful as a backing for small collages and for direct drawing, painting, and printmaking.

6" x 8" (300g) Etchu Card
This heavy card is handmade in Toyama prefecture, formerly called Etchu. With deckle edges on all sides it has a distinctive laid line on one face and is plain on the reverse. Traditionally used as a postcard Etchu Card is ideal for drawing and painting, relief and screen printing and for mounting collages.
