Earl Selkirk Gallery | ARTiculations Project Window

The Earl Selkirk Gallery focuses on exhibiting contemporary, conceptual, and process driven work from emerging and mid career Toronto artists.   We welcome experimental and innovative artists working in any media to apply. Proposals for solo, group and curatorial projects are all accepted.  Exhibitions usually run for 4-6 weeks.

Submission Guidelines – please provide the following

Artist Statement (500 words max) – should discuss overall practice as well as how it relates to the project proposal

A Project Description/Project Proposal (500 words max)

Curriculum Vitae– (3 pages max)

Visual Support Material  8-10 JPG file images or video/audio files between 3-5 minutes.  Images should be 1024 x 768 pixels and 1 MB each 

-Files should be named number initials title year example (01 initials title year)

-File names should correspond with Image List

-Visual Support Material List/Image List- title, medium, dimensions, year

Technical description. Please provide information on the equipment and materials needed for installation. (250 words max)


2018 Application Deadline: NOVEMBER 2, 2017

A  hanging fee of $600 (plus HST) is to be paid to ARTiculations, for the period of a 4-6 week exhibition. This fee covers:

-Marketing of your exhibition on our website, social media and gallery vinyl signage 

-100 printed and designed postcard invitations                                                              

-An Akimbit Listing                                    

-An email invitation to the exhibition and reception to our subscribers  (over 800 people)                       

-Food and beverages for the reception     

-Support and promotion during the reception     

-Support as needed during installation and takedown    

-The processing of all sales and collection of payment

A non-refundable deposit of $300.00 (plus HST) is due upon confirmation of the exhibition date, with the signing of the artist contract, and the remainder of the fee due 8 weeks before the exhibition opening date.

– 30% commission applies on all works sold in gallery.
