Earl Selkirk Gallery | Earl Selkirk Window Vitrine
The Earl Selkirk Gallery focuses on exhibiting contemporary, conceptual, and process-driven work from emerging and mid-career Toronto artists. We welcome experimental and innovative artists working in any media to apply. Proposals for solo, group and curatorial projects are all accepted. Exhibitions usually run for 4-6 weeks.
Submissions will be reviewed by a selected jury on an ongoing basis. Successful applicants will be notified. 25% commission applies on all works sold in the gallery.
Submission Guidelines
Please provide the following
Artist Statement (500 words max) – Discussing overall practice as well as how it relates to the project proposal
A Project Description/Project Proposal (500 words max) Please specify Earl Selkirk Gallery or Window Vitrine in your proposal
Curriculum Vitae (3 pages max)
Visual Support Material 8 to 10 JPG file images or video/audio files between 3 to 5 minutes. Images should be 1024 x 768 pixels and 1 MB each
- Files should be named in the following format: number, initials, title, year, EXAMPLE: 01initialstitleyear.jpg
- File names should correspond with Image List
- Visual Support Material List/Image List in the following format- title, medium, dimensions, year
Technical description. Please provide information on the equipment and materials needed for installation. (250 words max)

Earl Selkirk Gallery $595 + HST
Earl Selkirk Window Vitrine $425 + HST
Combination Interior Gallery + Window Vitrine $950 + HST

This Includes:
- 4 to 6 week exhibition. Our space is staffed and open 7 days a week, excluding holidays and planned closures.
- Marketing of your exhibition on our website, social media and gallery vinyl signage
- An email invitation to the exhibition and reception to our subscribers (over 800 people)
- 100 printed and designed postcard invitations
- Support as needed during installation and takedown
- The processing of all sales and collection of payment
- A non-refundable deposit (50% of the hanging fee + HST) is due upon confirmation of the exhibition date, with the signing of the artist contract, and the remainder of the fee due 4 weeks before the exhibition opening date
- 25% commission applies on all works sold
