14th Annual Fill’er Up Sketchbook Challenge: Exhibition

March 2024 marked the 14th year of ARTiculations’ Fill’er Up Sketchbook Challenge—a community-rooted invitation to create one thing each day in your sketchbook.

This open-ended challenge encourages participants to fill up old sketchbooks or start new ones, using whatever materials they have on hand. Over 160 artists took part this year, with more than 85 submitting books for display in this year’s exhibition. The result is a vibrant collection of sketchbooks that showcase everything from quick observations to intricate studies.

On view at ARTiculations through June 1, 2024, the Fill’er Up Sketchbook Challenge Exhibition highlights the power of small daily practices to sustain and foster creativity. Whether you’re a beginner, a professional artist, or reconnecting with your creativity after a long break, the challenge celebrates the joy of showing up and making something.
