summer calendar & workshop schedule now available!

Lovely friends,

After a long wait, our summer workshop calendar is now available! We thank each of you for your patience as we made changes to our programming (it took a little longer than expected). We’re happy to say, that your waiting wasn’t for nothing! As you may or may not have known,  we’ve just had the pleasure of celebrating our half birthday – that’s right – as of June 1st, we’ve been open 6 MONTHS!! WHOO HOO!!! Now, with such things as half birthdays, one likes to look back and reflect on what we’ve been doing so far and what we would like to be doing moving forward.  The result is that we’re changing it up this summer in the workroom!

Check our our Youth and Adult sections for more information.

  • We have lots of exciting new classes for adults; Hardcover Bookbinding, Stonecarving, Intro to Watercolour, Drawing, Acrylics…. and yes, we DID say Stonecarving (HOW COOL IS THAT?).  These course range from 3 weeks to 6 weeks in length- perfect for a summer art project!
  • We’ve welcomed a new FREE club: Join the Urban Sketching Club on every other Thursday from 7-10pm to sketch around the neighbourhood.
  • Terrarium building will be back on July 25th 7-9pm due to popular demand!

  • Our week long summer camps with full day and half day options are an awesome way to get creative this summer.  Choose from Drawing & Painting or Sculpture & Printmaking (or do both!).  We will be taking these week long opportunities to really explore art-making and we end each week with a gallery show (hung by the artist themselves!)
  • Looking for an alternative to summer camp? Look at our ARTventures series! We’re offering excellent 2-part afternoon workshops throughout the summer.  Choose from Image Transfer Self Portraits, Printmaking, Bookbinding (make your own sketchbook!) and Plaster Carvings!!

Hope to see you soon at ARTiculations 🙂
