Just announced: ARTiculations will be running a Portfolio Workshop next week on January 4th,5th & 6th for students applying to Visual Arts-academic high school programs. This is a great opportunity if you or your child is looking to review their portfolio before interviews & auditions taking place in January.
January 4th & 5th: 1:1 Appointments The 1:1 appointments give us an opportunity to look at all of your existing artwork, celebrate your talent and pinpoint areas that could use improvement for a well rounded portfolio. We will go through portfolio & admission guidelines for your chosen school(s) alongside your current work and make a portfolio plan to prepare for your interview. Appointments are 45min-1hr in length.
January 5th & 6th: Open Studio 2-6pm ARTiculations will host two special Open Studio sessions reserved for Portfolio Workshop participants who would like to work on projects for their portfolio interviews. Although there is no instruction for these sessions, Miki and Heather will both be available to answer questions and give support!
The workshop fee is $40 and includes a 1:1 appointment and one reserved Open Studio spot on either the 5th or 6th. To attend both Open Studio dates, please add an additional $20. Students will also be given a one time 15% off ARTiculations coupon for supplies.

Both Miki Rubin and Heather Phillips have had experience with the portfolio interview process from a young age. Miki successfully interviewed for the Northview Heights Cyber Arts program (high school), York University’s BFA Studio Art program and James Carl Sculpture Residency (post secondary). Heather’s portfolio interview experience was built into her secondary school curriculum grades 9-12 at Sacred Heart high school. She has successfully interviewed for York University’s BFA Studio Art program, McMaster University’s BFA Studio Art program and James Carl Sculpture Residency. Miki and Heather hold a BFA Hons. in Visual Arts from York University.
