Intermediate Screenprinting for Artists
Wednesday November 22nd 2017 to Wednesday December 13th 2017
6:30 pm to 9:30 pm
Price: $ 275.00 CAD
The prerequisite for this course is the Intro to Screen Printing, or a demonstrated portfolio of screen prints to demonstrate a basic understanding of the screen printing process. This course focuses on multiple modes of creating colour separations in order to produce a multi-layered screen print. Digital and analogue techniques will both be covered (including Adobe CS Photoshop/Illustrator) and it is an option for participants to bring in their own laptop to work in class time if they wish.
Working with high quality screen mesh and printing with various transparencies of inks, this course delves into a deeper understanding of silkscreen printing as a creative process. By the end of this course, students will have a basic understanding of creating colour separations in both digital and analogue methods, and will create an edition of art prints. ALL MATERIALS INCLUDED.
